自傳
Zi-Tsan Chou received the Ph.D. degree in Computer Science and Information Engineering from National Taiwan University, in 2003. In Feb. 2008, he joined the Department of Electrical Engineering at National Sun Yat-Sen University, where he is currently an Associate Professor. He From 2003 to 2007, he was a secton manager and senior engineer of Networks and Multimedia Institute at Institute for Information Industry (III) in Taipei, Taiwan. He received the Innovative and Prospective Technologies Project Award and the Creative Technology Application Award from III in 2003 and 2004 respectively. Due to the contributions on papers and patents, he received the Top-25 Outstanding Contributor Award (acceptance ratio < 0.18%) from the Ministry of National Defense, Taiwan in 2007. His research interests include medium access control, power management, and quality-of-service control for wireless networks. He holds 8 U.S. patents, 2 China patents, and 11 Taiwan patents in the field of wireless communications. One of his invented technologies, called UPCF, which was published in IEEE/ACM Transactions on Networking, has been granted the U.S. patent (patent number US 7418004 B2) and included in IEEE 802.11n standard. He is listed in Marquis Who's Who in Science and Engineering and Who's Who in the World in 2008 and 2009 respectively. He is a member of both the IEEE and the IEEE Communication Society.
